Previously on the E3 build of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, the sword attack was mapped to the B-button. However, recent changes have been made to include the usage of a swinging motion to engage in sword attacks.

However, I highly doubt this'll be free movement with the sword. It'll most likely just sense the movement of the Wiimote and play the appropriate pre-set sword animation.

Also note how the term "allow" is used in that "the game will now allow players to swing the controller for sword slashes." This could mean that the motion-activated sword swipes are optional, in case anyone gets tired of moving their wrist, but where's the fun in that? >=[
